Refugee

Refugee

A refugee is a person who is forced to flee persecution and is outside of his home country as opposed to an immigrant who makes a choice to move. Refugee and Humanitarian Resettlement Program is an option to immigrate to Canada as a Permanent Resident. Refugees may as well come from inside Canada or from refugee camps outside Canada. In addition, private sponsors can help sponsor refugee claimants into Canada. Private sponsors from across Canada often help resettle refugees to Canada. Canada offers refugee protection to some people in Canada who fear persecution or who would be in danger if they had to leave. Some dangers they may face include;

  • Torture
  • Risk to their life
  • Risk of cruel and unusual treatment or punishment

If you feel you could face one of these risks if you go back to your home country or the country where you normally live, you may be able to seek protection in Canada as a refugee. Contact Darko Immigration for help
