A visitor visa (also called a temporary resident visa) is an official document that the Canadian government sticks in your passport. It shows that you meet the requirements needed to enter Canada on a visit to your family, friends, tourism or even for leisure purposes. Most travellers need a visitor visa to travel to Canada. It is granted for a maximum period of two years and could be single or entry or multiple entry.
